Picking out our Tree

This year we picked out the tree in record time. In the past, we have gone to Brown's nursery and it usually takes 10-30 minutes to find the tree. It seems that we always go on the coldest and wetest day of the year, rain is usually the culprit. The cost was always high, too, up to $80.00 for a tree.
This year, we tried Kroger for our tree. That was a drive by and we never got out of the vehicle. The trees just didn't look good. We then took a quick run to Home Depot (I had seen an ad for their trees at a good price). We walked in and Matt/Ricky immediately found our tree. It took all of 30 seconds to determine that one was it. Emma was not totally into it. She wanted a tree from Browns (a traditionalist at heart, just like her Mama). But I told her we just couldn't beat the price an it really was a good tree. 10 minutes later, the tree was trimmed by an employee, wrapped in netting and in the truck. Including a new tree stand (which Rick immediately broke the next day), the total cost was just under $40.00. A huge savings from past years. We decorated it a couple of days later and I have to say, we are all really happy with it (although Emma still wishes it was a Browns tree).
